We cut their funding, and guess who listened to this happening on the radio? The Reds in the North. They knew the South would be weak, and that they could strike without America coming to the aide of the South. When we abandoned our friends, the enemy pounced them, and Vietnam remains under communist control to this day.

So what's the moral of the story? Iraq is not like Vietnam. It isn't nearly as cut and dry as a friendly south and a Red north. If we defunded the troops in Iraq and pulled out, it would look more like Rwanda in the 90s, and we would have more blood on our hands than anyone should ever have to imagine. That's why we're going to stay.
